Hi Gary, great to meet a fellow medic who loves good eating. I really liked the traumatized green peppers pic! I like Nando’s too but have not been able to replicate the marindade they cook the chicken in. I’m sure it’s not the sauce they sell. If anyone has had any success with this I would LOVE to know how they did it.
Thanks Kaiti 🙂 I hope you can find the recipe
Hi Gary. Thanks for stopping by Real Food Pledge. I got excited when I saw on your aviatar that you are a Queenslander & a passionate one at that! Your blog is great. I will find you on twitter & instagram today. 🙂

Hi Gary, I’m loving your blog and it was great to read this page and learn more about you (the interview in the Canberra Times wasn’t satisfying enough!). Keep up the great writing and cooking. You’re a great role model for Canberra’s men who, who like me, want to improve themselves (physically and intellectually).
Very kind of you to say such nice things. For me blogging is a great release and coupled with my interest in food and photography it’s like the perfect hobby. I’m enjoying reading CBR Foodie posts and tweets especially.

Wow. Thank you very much 🙂
We here in America thought the movie “Australia” was a massive fail too!! Fortunately my Australian sweetheart turned me onto “Jindabyne” which I thought was fantastic (and made me forget all about Hugh Jackman’s awful performance…until of course he started singing with Russell Crowe in Les Miserables and I had to turn the TV off in horror!).
Here in Portland, OR, USA, we have “Trek in the Park” which I’m guessing you’d appreciate 🙂
Oh don’t get me started on Russell Crowe. Yes, “Jindabyne” is an Australian classic.
Love Trek 🙂
heh – and now he’s Superman’s dad! oy!

Hi, thanks for the kind words.
Gary, I have been reading your foodie blog and it is making me drool. I’m like Pavlov’s dog looking at the pictures and reading your descriptions. I love reading about the New Year’s Eve meal. Tell our friends I miss them (and the food). I’ll email you a picture of the Paella dinner I made for New Year’s Eve. It was a mixed spanish/cajun short grain Paella with Andouille sausage, scallops, shrimp, mussels, onions, red and green peppers. The color was as pleasing as the taste. It paired well with a lightly sparkling Vinho Verde, or white sangria. We wish we could have shared it with you, Bron and our mutual friends. Hopefully soon. Cheers Mate.
Jason
Thank you Jason for the very kind words. I will share your regards with Bron and friends.
