Sanur’s Balinese Restaurant

Tonight I went out with friends to Sanur’s Balinese Restaurant. This is a group of Canberra friends who I met through social media and we go to dinner every two or three months. We’ve been to Sanur’s Balinese Restaurant before but it’s one of our favourite places.

Check out the website at

The website also provides a description of the history of the restaurant.

Tonight I chose from the sate and poultry/beef menus.

Sate Sanur’s $18.9
A perfect combination of Satays in one platter (Beef, Chicken, Prawns or Tempe)

Beef Rendang $18.9
Slow cooked beef in rich coconut sauce with Indonesian Traditional herbs and spices

The satays were a little tough but the flavour was very nice. The beef rendang however was amazing. The meat was so tender and so full of lovely flavours. I think I’ll get it as a takeaway and have with a crunchy wombok salad.
